LP Recharge was created as part of the social awareness campaign promoting renewable energy sources in the Third World countries which was supported by nu-metal band Linkin Park. The game was presented in the campaign finale in Rio de Janeiro and offered the players a chance to be the first to listen to the band's upcoming single.
